Box of Vintage Diecast Vehicles with Corgi Hovercraft and Triang Tractor
This lot comprises a quantity of vintage diecast and plastic toy vehicles, housed in a blue Sainsbury’s Assorted Biscuits tin. Among the contents are a Corgi hovercraft and a Triang tractor, both of which are clearly identifiable. The wider selection includes a red Royal Mail van, a white police vehicle, a yellow car transporter and a red Pirelli Force lorry, along with a number of smaller cars and commercial vehicles.
The Corgi hovercraft has a grey base with blue detailing and a white rotor assembly. The blue Triang tractor features large moulded tyres with red hubs and a robust body typical of the brand’s farm toys of the period. The Royal Mail van and Pirelli Force lorry show period livery and printed branding, which will be of interest to those collecting vehicles from the 1970s and 1980s.
Condition and Collectability of the Vintage Diecast Lot
Several pieces in the lot show visible signs of play wear, including paint chipping and surface marks, and the vehicles have not been individually examined or tested for completeness. The Corgi hovercraft and Triang tractor are notable inclusions, and the variety of makes and types in one lot makes it a practical purchase for a collector building a diverse vintage toy collection or a dealer seeking mixed stock. Buyers interested in restoration projects or display pieces may find the range of models of particular appeal.
