Vintage Crescent Toys Agent Cap Gun
This vintage Crescent Toys agent cap gun is a black metal toy revolver with a red plastic grip, offered as a collectable from the mid-twentieth century toy cap gun tradition. It is a small hand-held pistol design, presented here for those interested in vintage toy firearms and early playthings.
The toy has a black finished barrel and cylinder with a silver-toned frame and an engraved marking on the barrel reading “AGENT”. The cylinder, hammer and trigger guard are visible, and the grip is a smooth red moulded plastic panel with a small decorative screw at the top. Partial Crescent branding is visible on the upper frame, consistent with the maker named in this entry.
Condition and Collector Interest
The cap gun shows clear age-related wear, with areas of paint loss to the black finish, particularly around the cylinder, hammer and upper frame, revealing lighter metal beneath. The red grip shows scratches and light surface marks. The overall finish is worn but the piece retains its original form and most of its original detailing. Its condition reflects genuine use over time, which many collectors value when seeking an authentic vintage example of a Crescent Toys agent cap gun for display or as part of a wider toy collection.
