Dial Gauge Set Overview
This is a vintage American dial gauge set, likely dating to the mid-20th century. The set includes a dial indicator with various attachments and accessories, housed within a fitted wooden case. The gauges are constructed from steel and feature clear, easy-to-read dials. This type of set would have been commonly used by machinists, engineers, and toolmakers for precision measurement and quality control in manufacturing and repair work.
Condition and Collectibility
The set presents with signs consistent with age and use. The wooden case exhibits wear and tear, and the gauges may show some surface corrosion or oxidation. Despite this, the gauges appear largely intact and retain their original features. This set would be of interest to collectors of vintage tools, machinists, or those seeking to restore antique machinery.
