Six Vintage Dinky Racing Cars Including Auto Union
This lot comprises six vintage die-cast racing cars by Dinky, one of which is an Auto Union. The group offers a varied selection of colourways, with two green cars, a silver example, a pale blue-grey car, a mint green model and two blue cars with yellow noses. Each car has a moulded driver figure seated within an open cockpit and a streamlined body typical of the period. The silver Auto Union stands out for its rear-engined profile and rounded tail, while the other cars feature exposed wheels and slim, low-slung bodies.
Played-With Condition and Collector Appeal
The cars show clear signs of play wear, including chipping and loss of paint to the blue examples and general surface marks across the group. Wheels and axles show age-related wear, and some areas of the bodies have lost their finish. The lot appears to retain its original paintwork and moulded details, which will appeal to collectors of post-war Dinky Toys and vintage racing models. As a group, the cars offer an authentic snapshot of 1950s motor racing toys and would suit a collector building a set or a buyer seeking a characterful mixed lot.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. #### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
