Vintage Folding Guest Bed
This lot is a vintage folding guest bed, offered in its folded configuration. It is presented as a space-saving sleeping option suited to occasional use in a spare room or temporary accommodation.
The bed has a gold-tone metal frame supporting a floral-patterned padded cushion in pink, green and teal tones. The frame folds down into a compact form, with a hinged section and a rounded tubular base fitted with small castors. A wood-effect laminate top is also present in this lot.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The frame, cushioning and laminate top show the signs of age and use expected of a bed of this era. Originality appears to be retained, with the original floral upholstery and metal frame still in place. Buyers interested in mid-century or later domestic furniture, or in folding bedroom pieces of this period, may find this lot of interest as a collectible or as a piece for restoration.
