Vintage Futaba Skysport 6A Radio Control Transmitters and Model Planes
This lot comprises vintage Futaba Skysport 6A radio control transmitters, offered alongside model planes. Futaba is a long-established Japanese manufacturer of radio control equipment, and the Skysport 6A is a 6-channel transmitter of the kind favoured by hobbyists flying fixed-wing and other radio controlled aircraft. The accompanying model plane is a white aeroplane with red striping along the fuselage and tail, a blue nose section and a red nose tip. It is a sizeable model with a long fuselage and a swept tail assembly, and the wing is finished in white with a red trim line.
Condition and Collector Interest
The model plane shows the expected signs of age and handling, and the cardboard packaging stored with the wider lot shows general wear. The lot is offered as seen, and the working order of the transmitters and models has not been confirmed, so prospective buyers should make their own enquiries before bidding. Vintage Futaba equipment and period model aircraft often appeal to collectors of radio control history, to restorers, and to hobbyists looking for classic gear to add to a workshop or display.
