Mixed Box of Vintage Gramophone Records
This lot comprises a quantity of vintage gramophone records housed in a grey plastic tub, presented together as a mixed box. The records are held in their original card sleeves, several of which are visibly labelled, and the group includes a brown album marked Symphony No. 4 in F minor. Labels visible on the records include Columbia and His Master’s Voice, reflecting the mix of recordings typical of early twentieth-century record collections.
Condition and Collector Interest
The sleeves show general wear, with signs of age, handling and some staining and surface marks consistent with their years of storage. Individual record condition has not been examined or tested, and no playing or working status is implied. Sleeves are present for the records visible in the tub, adding to the originality of the group. The lot will appeal to collectors of vintage sound recordings, classical music enthusiasts and those interested in the ephemera of early record labels.
