Vintage Greenkat 8×30 Binoculars
These are a pair of vintage Greenkat 8×30 binoculars, presented with their original carrying case. The binoculars feature a black rubberized coating, providing a secure grip, and are marked with the “Greenkat Coated Optics” logo. The 8×30 designation indicates an 8x magnification with a 30mm objective lens, suggesting they were designed for general-purpose viewing, likely for birdwatching, sporting events, or travel.
Condition and Collectibility
The binoculars and case exhibit signs consistent with age and use. The case shows wear to the exterior, and the binoculars themselves have some surface wear and possible internal dust. Despite this, they present as an interesting piece for a collector of vintage optics or Japanese memorabilia. The original case adds to the appeal, offering a glimpse into the history of these well-made binoculars.
