Vintage Halfords Metal Cantilever Tool Box
This vintage metal tool box is by Halfords and is of cantilever, accordion-style construction, with a series of hinged trays that fold out from a central frame. A curved carry handle is fitted to the top, and the lid carries a Union Jack emblem and the Halfords name. The lid opens to reveal the stacked compartments, and a castor is fitted to the base, allowing the box to be moved across a floor.
Condition and Collectable Appeal
The box shows general wear consistent with its age and use, including scuffing, dust and surface rust to the metalwork, with areas of paint loss. Tools, fittings and small items are present within the trays, but these are not part of the lot and their condition has not been assessed. The original carry handle and Halfords lid emblem remain in place.
