Vintage Holiday Three Bicycle

This vintage Holiday three bicycle is offered as a lot of collectable cycling memorabilia. Its pale blue frame and mudguards give it a distinctive period appearance, and it will appeal to collectors of British bicycles from the mid-twentieth century. The Holiday name is carried on the down tube in a multicoloured decal.

The frame is a traditional diamond-style construction in pale blue with chrome detailing, including the handlebar stem and fork ends. Full-length mudguards are fitted front and rear, and the bicycle has a dark ribbed grip on the handlebars with chrome brake levers. The saddle is upholstered in dark material. A yellow panel is fitted to the rear section of the frame. Bidders should note the bicycle is offered as a vintage piece and no further specification has been confirmed.

Condition and Originality

The bicycle shows general wear consistent with its age and use. The paintwork has areas of weathering, the chrome shows some marks, and both wheels show surface corrosion on the rims. The tyres are worn, and the yellow panel appears to be a later addition. Originality of individual components has not been verified. Its unrestored state and the Holiday branding may appeal to collectors seeking a project or an example of a period British town bicycle for display or restoration.

Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.

#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
