The lighters include chrome, brass and white examples, with Pennzoil advertising and an Uncle Sam “I Want You” design among them. Sold as seen, untested and not guaranteed working. Six Vintage Lighters, Vesta Case and Gillette Razor Tin

This lot offers a mixed group of smoking and pocket collectables, comprising six vintage lighters, a vesta case and a Gillette razor tin. The lighters vary in finish and construction. One chrome example bears an inscription that appears to read “Moss & Baxter Ltd”, while a white lighter carries a humorous “I Want You” Uncle Sam design with the word “SADDAM” beneath. Another chrome lighter is decorated with the “Sound your Z PENNZOIL” advertising slogan, and a brass example has an overall floral engraved design. A further chrome lighter is plain, and a brass lighter has a more angular, mechanical profile. The brass vesta case is decorated with a “CARNOUSTIE” crest and the motto “AUGURIUM FAVET”, and the Gillette razor tin completes the group.

Condition, Originality and Collector Interest

Age-related wear is evident across the lot, including surface scratches, rubbing and tarnish to the metal, with some lighters showing more marking than others. The lighters and case have not been tested and are offered as seen, with no guarantee that any item is working or complete. Their original decoration, advertising designs and period styling are the main points of interest, and the mix of lighter types, a named golf club vesta case and a Gillette tin should appeal to collectors of vintage advertising, smoking accessories and general pocket collectables.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that once a bid is placed we will not be able to issue any refunds unless there is a clear and obvious error made by ourselves in the item title, in the event of an incorrect bid being placed, you must contact us on the mobile phone number 07904 339160/description.

Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.

#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
