Vintage Mamod Steam Roller Model
This vintage Mamod steam roller is a model of a traction-style road roller, offered as a collectable toy steam engine from the Mamod range. The model is finished in green, grey, black and red, with a tall black chimney rising above the boiler at the front. Its two large red-painted rear driving wheels and smaller front roller are picked out in grey, and a red-spoked flywheel sits on the side of the body. Brass fittings and pipework are visible at the top of the boiler, along with a red-topped operating lever. A separate black tin fuel bunker and a tray accompany the model.
Condition and Collectability
This example shows the wear expected of a model of its age, including scuffs and marks to the painted surfaces and some rust-spotting to the loose tin tray. The original green, grey and red colour scheme appears to be largely intact, and the brass fittings, chimney and bunker all remain with the model. The loose bunker and tray add interest for collectors, as accessories such as these are often missing from vintage Mamod models. Its clear design and period character make it a appealing piece for those who collect vintage Mamod steam toys or British model steam engines.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
