Vintage Mamod Steam Roller Model
This is a vintage Mamod steam roller, offered as a collectable model of a traditional road roller. Mamod is the name associated with this model, which is of the type produced as a live steam toy and model. It is presented as a single lot.
The model has a black vertical chimney, a green cylindrical boiler and a black-finished boiler mounting with a brass fitting. The rear drive wheel and the front roller drums are finished in grey metal with red-painted centres and hubs, and the driver’s flywheel is red with a grey rim. A separate rusted metal tray with a wire handle is included with the lot.
Condition and Collector Interest
The model shows general signs of age and use, including surface wear, marking and patina across the body and wheels. The separate tray has visible rust. The condition is as described and is not represented as working or complete. Buyers should inspect the lot carefully before bidding. The model will appeal to collectors of vintage Mamod live steam models, toy steam roller enthusiasts and those interested in early British toy engineering.
