Vintage Metal Toolbox with Contents
This lot is a vintage metal toolbox offered complete with a quantity of its contents. The box has a hinged lid and two metal latch fittings on the front, with a painted finish that has been worn back in places to bare metal. Inside, the contents include a rubber-headed mallet, two wooden-handled hammers, a flat steel scraper, a pair of pliers and a selection of copper pipe fittings and brass connectors. Loose plastic packaging and a coil of copper wire are also among the items in the box.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The toolbox shows clear signs of age, with flaking paint, surface marks and areas of rust across the lid and body. The interior paint has lifted in many places, and the metal latches show wear consistent with long use. The contents appear to be a mixed selection of workshop and plumbing items, with the tools and fittings showing general signs of use. Buyers interested in vintage workshop storage, traditional tool chests or period hand tools may find this lot appealing, particularly for display or restoration projects.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
