Vintage Military Test Set Box

This is a vintage military test set box, dated 1940 and marked ‘E.T. LTD’. The box is constructed from wood and features metal fittings, including a hinged lid with two locking clasps and a carrying handle. The exterior displays a stencil-marked designation and date, indicative of its wartime production. The box originally housed a ‘Test Set Portable, No. 2’ as indicated by the diagram affixed to the interior lid.

Condition and Collectibility

The box exhibits signs of age and use, with wear, scuffs, and some loss of original finish. The metal fittings show some corrosion consistent with age.
