Vintage Military Waltham Stopwatch
This vintage military Waltham stopwatch is offered in a round chrome-plated case with a ring bow and a ribbed crown. The white dial is marked with black Arabic numerals and fine minute divisions, with a red 60 at the top and a small subsidiary register beneath the centre. The name WALTHAM appears on the dial, and the caseback is engraved with “1/5 Sec T.P” in gold-coloured lettering, alongside further markings. Hands are present on the dial.
Condition and Collectability
The caseback shows light surface scratches and general handling marks, and the chrome finish is worn in places. The dial displays some age-related marking, and the engraved lettering on the caseback remains clearly legible. This stopwatch is offered as seen, without any further description of its mechanism. Its wartime-associated provenance, original engraving and distinctive Waltham dial are likely to appeal to collectors of vintage timekeeping instruments and military memorabilia.
