Box of Mixed Vintage Books, Including The War Picture Library Annual and Zoo Magazine
This lot comprises a box of mixed vintage books and magazines. Notable titles include The War Picture Library Annual 1978, published as a Fleetway Annual, and several issues of Zoo, The National Monthly Magazine, priced at 6d and dated February and December. The lot also includes Greatest Tractors: David Brown, a later paperback covering the VAK1 – 94 Series, model profiles, implements, owners’ restorations, crawlers and buyer’s guides, and a booklet titled The City of London. The assortment spans several decades and subjects, from wartime fiction and popular magazines to motoring and civic publications.
Condition and Collector Interest
The books and magazines show general signs of age and handling, including edge wear, creasing and marks to covers. Some of the Zoo magazines are loose and show wear to their edges. The lot has not been checked page by page, so buyers should judge the condition from the description and consider it as a bundle of used, vintage printed matter. Its mix of wartime comic annuals, 1950s-era magazines and specialist tractor literature may appeal to collectors of Fleetway publications, vintage magazine enthusiasts and those interested in agricultural history.
