Oxo Cube Shop Display Jar
This is a vintage shop display jar, originally used to hold Oxo beef cubes. The jar is constructed from clear glass, allowing the contents to be visible, and features a distinctive red lid with the ‘Oxo’ logo prominently displayed. This style of jar was commonly found in grocery stores during the 1950s, serving as both a functional container and a form of advertising for the popular stock cube.
Condition and Collectibility
The jar exhibits signs consistent with age and use, including minor surface scratches and possible residue from previous contents. Despite this, it remains a visually appealing and relatively intact example of vintage kitchenalia. This jar would be a desirable addition to a collection of advertising memorabilia, retro kitchen items, or Oxo-related collectibles, offering a nostalgic glimpse into mid-century grocery shopping.
