Four Vintage Storage Boxes Including Oxo Cubes Tins
This lot comprises four vintage storage boxes, two of which are red metal tins bearing the Oxo name and the word cubes. One tin carries the wording “For meatier meals, perfect gravy and an appetising beverage” along its side, while the other is marked “For cooking and drinking”. The remaining two pieces are wooden. One is a square box with a scalloped border surrounding a circular panel decorated with a butterfly design, and the other is a small wooden box with a panelled front and a plain, flat lid.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The metal tins show clear signs of age, with scuffing, surface wear and rust-coloured marks, most noticeably on the upper tin, and the lettering has faded in places. The wooden pieces also show general wear to their surfaces. The lot is offered as seen. Vintage advertising tins of this kind may appeal to collectors of kitchenalia and vintage advertising, while the decorated wooden box may interest those seeking characterful storage pieces.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
