Vintage Padlock Collection
This lot comprises a collection of vintage padlocks, each exhibiting unique characteristics of their era. The padlocks are constructed primarily of brass, with varying designs and keyways. Several feature markings indicating potential manufacturers or origins, including one marked “CHA-10” on the shackle. The collection showcases a range of locking mechanisms and styles, reflecting the evolution of security technology over time.
Condition and Collectibility
The padlocks present signs consistent with age and use, including patina, minor corrosion, and wear to the brass casings. Keys are present with each padlock, though functionality is not guaranteed. This collection would appeal to collectors of antique tools, security devices, or those interested in the history of craftsmanship. The variety of designs and the presence of keys add to the interest for display or further research.
