Vintage Paper Guillotine

This is a vintage paper guillotine, a tool historically used for trimming paper with precision. The blade is mounted on a wooden base with a graduated scale, indicating cutting measurements. This example appears to be a robust, manually operated device, likely dating from the mid-20th century, and would have been a staple in offices, print shops, and studios.

Condition & Collectibility

The paper guillotine shows signs of age and use, with wear to the wood and potential patina on the metal components. While the blade appears intact, its sharpness is unknown and caution should be exercised. This item would appeal to collectors of vintage office equipment, ephemera enthusiasts, or those seeking a unique decorative piece with historical significance.
