Vintage Paraffin and Oil Cans

This lot comprises a selection of vintage paraffin and oil cans, offering a glimpse into a bygone era of motoring and domestic fuel storage. The cans vary in size and style, with a prominent Esso branded can taking centre stage. These cans would have been essential for fuelling vehicles, lamps, and heating appliances, and represent a piece of industrial and social history.

Condition and Collectibility

These cans exhibit signs of age and use, with surface rust, dents, and paint loss consistent with their age and former function. Despite these imperfections, they retain a charming character and appeal to collectors of vintage automobilia, garage memorabilia, and industrial antiques. They would make an interesting display piece or a unique addition to a collection, offering a tangible link to the past.
