Vintage Philips Table Radio from the 1960s
This vintage Philips table radio dates from the 1960s and is offered as a single lot. It is housed in a wooden cabinet with a low, horizontal profile, designed to sit on a shelf or table. The set is a collectable example of domestic audio from the period.
The cabinet is finished in a warm wood tone with a flat top and a shaped, curved lower edge. Louvred speaker grilles run along both ends of the front, with a central panel carrying the Philips badge, a tuning scale with station markings, and a row of push buttons. Two knurled, metal-finished control knobs sit on either side of the scale. The front panel is framed in silver-toned trim, giving the piece a clean, mid-century appearance.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The radio shows general signs of age and use consistent with its years, including some marks and light wear to the wooden cabinet and front panel. Its originality is evident in the retained Philips badge, tuning scale, control knobs and speaker grilles. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
