Apothecary Scales

These are a set of vintage apothecary scales, manufactured by Phillip Harris & Co. The scales feature a wooden case housing the balance beam and pans, designed for precise measurement. The construction suggests a laboratory or pharmaceutical setting, with a focus on accuracy and durability.

Condition & Collectibility

The scales exhibit signs consistent with age and use, with some wear to the wood and potential patina to the metal components. While the functionality is not assessed, these scales represent a fascinating piece of scientific or pharmaceutical history. Collectors of antique scientific instruments or those interested in the history of pharmacy may find these scales a desirable addition to their collection.
