Introduction

This lot comprises two pairs of antique Staffordshire spaniels figurines. These charming figurines, typical of Victorian-era decorative pottery, are crafted from earthenware and feature a traditional seated pose with detailed painted features. The spaniels are known for their expressive eyes and flowing ears, and were popular ornaments adorning mantels and sideboards during the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Condition

Please note that one of the figurines is offered as ‘AF’ (as found), indicating some damage or restoration. While the other three appear generally sound for their age, close inspection may reveal minor crazing, chips, or paint loss consistent with age and use. Despite any imperfections, these Staffordshire spaniels remain desirable collectibles for enthusiasts of antique pottery and Victorian decorative arts.
