Vintage Sestrel Ships Compass

This is a vintage Sestrel ships compass, presented within its original wooden carrying case. The compass features a traditional card with cardinal directions and degree markings, designed for marine navigation. The gimbal mounting allows the compass to remain level despite the motion of a vessel, ensuring accurate readings.

Condition and Collectibility

The compass shows signs consistent with age and use, with wear to the wooden case and some patina to the brass components. While the compass is presented as found, it is a desirable piece for collectors of nautical instruments and maritime history enthusiasts. Its vintage appeal and functional design make it a unique addition to any collection or display.
