A Vintage Skull and Snake Pendant
This lot is a vintage skull and snake pendant suspended on a 24 inch necklace. The pendant takes the form of a skull with raised detailing across its surface, with gold-tone accents set into the crown and brow. A gold-tone snake winds around the lower part of the skull, its body curling downwards beneath the jaw. The pendant hangs from a loop bail on a silver-tone chain of closely set box-style links. The maker is not known.
Condition and Collector Interest
The pendant and chain are offered as described, with no further condition details provided. Prospective buyers are advised to contact the saleroom before bidding for any additional information. The combination of skull and serpent motifs, together with the contrasting silver-tone and gold-tone finishes, gives the piece a distinctive character that may appeal to collectors of vintage gothic-style and memento mori-inspired jewellery.
