A Selection of Vintage Stoneware Storage Jars
This lot comprises a selection of seven vintage stoneware storage pieces, offered together. Three tall jars with brown-glazed rims and cream lower bodies sit at the back of the group, varying in height and width. Alongside them are four cream-coloured pieces, including a ribbed lidded jar, two plain cylindrical pots and a further small pot. Together they show a range of sizes and forms typical of traditional household storage.
Age, Condition and Collector Interest
The pieces show the wear expected of their age, with some staining and marks to the surfaces, particularly on the smaller pots and the lidded jar. The brown glaze to the rims of the larger jars remains clearly visible. As a mixed group of matching stoneware forms, the lot may appeal to collectors of salt glazed pottery and to buyers looking for period storage pieces for display or everyday use.
