Vintage Suitcase of Assorted Photographs Including Military Subjects
This lot is offered as a vintage suitcase containing a large quantity of assorted photographs, which includes military subjects. The contents are loosely arranged and appear to span a range of sizes, mounts and formats. Mounted portraits sit alongside loose prints and small ephemeral items, giving a broad cross-section of material for the collector.
Condition, Originality and Collector Interest
The photographs show the expected signs of age, including surface wear, edge handling and variations in tone across the group. Mounts vary in colour and condition, and some items appear to be loose within the case rather than in albums. A loose handwritten card is also present among the material. Buyers interested in military portraiture, family history or early studio photography may find this mixed group worth close examination, as it offers many items to research individually.
