Vintage Suitcase Filled with Assorted Model and Toy Cars
This lot comprises a vintage tan tartan-lined suitcase, its interior packed with a varied selection of model and toy cars. The contents include small diecast vehicles in the style of Matchbox and Burago, alongside Tonka-style trucks and larger novelty pieces. Standout items include a large red plastic sports car with an extending aerial, a black Cosmocop Automation toy car, and a red motorcycle figure. The mix of emergency vehicles, saloons, racing cars and commercial vehicles makes this an appealing grab bag for enthusiasts of retro playthings.
Used Condition with Strong Collector Appeal
The suitcase shows general age-related wear to its checked covering, brown edge trims and metal clasps, with a maker’s label visible inside the lid. The vehicles display the expected play wear, including paint chips, scuffs and some missing details, and their operation has not been verified. Mixed lots like this are popular with collectors and restorers seeking unrestored examples, and the period presentation of the case adds charm for display or resale. Buyers should inspect the pieces carefully to judge their individual condition.
