Three Tennis Rackets Including Dunlop Matchpoint
This lot comprises three tennis rackets of differing age and style, offered together. The group includes a Dunlop Matchpoint racket with a blue and white frame and black grip, which carries Slazenger lettering across its strung head and is supplied with a black carrying cover. The second racket is a wooden-framed example with a yellow finish, a shaped head and a black grip, and it is accompanied by a maroon cover with a tan trim. The third racket is a black-framed model with a blue accent, marked Eagle on the throat, and it has a blue grip. Together the lot offers a mix of modern and traditional racket designs.
Sold as Seen, With Visible Wear
Each racket shows signs of use. The Eagle racket has noticeable wear to its blue grip tape, and the Dunlop Matchpoint and wooden rackets show marks and general ageing consistent with their years. The wooden racket in particular displays the expected wear for a racket of its type, and the covers show some wear to their surfaces. No further testing has been carried out, and the rackets are offered in the condition shown. The lot may appeal to collectors of vintage sporting goods, those interested in the development of racket design, or buyers looking for display pieces or tennis-related decor.
