Introduction
This is a vintage towel rail, likely dating from the Victorian or Edwardian era. Constructed from cast iron, it features decorative detailing and a sturdy build. The rail has three horizontal bars, providing ample space for hanging towels, and would have originally been designed to be heated, offering warmth as well as drying capabilities. It would have been a luxurious addition to a bathroom in its time.
Condition
The towel rail shows signs of age and use, with some surface rust and wear to the paintwork. It is structurally sound, but may require some restoration to bring it back to its former glory. Despite its condition, this piece retains a charming character and would be a desirable addition to a period bathroom or a collector of antique bathroom fixtures.
