Wash Bowl Description
This is a large, decorative wash bowl, likely dating from the early to mid 20th century. The bowl features a floral pattern with a predominantly pink and green colour scheme. It is crafted from porcelain, suggesting a focus on both functionality and aesthetic appeal for personal hygiene routines of the period. The size and design indicate it was intended for use in a bathroom setting, providing a basin for washing hands and face.
Condition and Collectability
The wash bowl shows signs of age and use, with some minor wear and tear commensurate with its vintage. It may exhibit slight crazing to the glaze, which is typical for porcelain of this era. Despite this, the bowl remains a visually appealing piece, and would be of interest to collectors of vintage bathroom fixtures or porcelain. Its decorative pattern and size make it a unique addition to any collection.
