Vintage Woden B/3 Cast Iron Bench Vice
This lot is a vintage cast iron bench vice bearing the Woden name and the model marking B/3. It is designed to be fixed to a workbench, with a flat base, a pair of jaws and a long steel operating handle finished with a round knob.
The body is cast iron and carries the Woden logo on the side, with the B/3 designation cast into the front of the housing. The vice has a rectangular fixed jaw extending to one side and a moving jaw operated by the steel handle on the opposite side. The base is pierced with a bolt hole for securing it to a bench.
Condition and Collectability
The vice shows general wear consistent with its age, including surface rust, areas of chipped and flaking dark blue paint, and some grime across the casting. A paper tag is attached to the upper jaw area. The overall appearance is that of a well-used workshop tool, and no further mechanical testing has been carried out.
