Vintage Wooden Carpenters Toolbox with Contents
This lot is a vintage wooden carpenters toolbox, offered together with a quantity of tools held within. The box has a hinged lid with brass hinges and a plain timber body. Its contents include a hand drill with a geared crank, a number of metal tubular box spanners of varying sizes, and what appears to be a saw frame with a wooden handle. The tools reflect the working equipment of an earlier period of trade and would suit a collector of traditional hand tools or a buyer looking for a period storage piece.
Condition and Collectability
The toolbox and its contents show age-related wear, including marks to the timber, surface wear and patina to the metalwork, and some dark staining in places. Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
