Description

This is a large vintage wooden crucifix featuring a cast brass corpus figure of Jesus Christ. The cross is constructed from a single piece of wood, displaying a warm, natural grain. The brass corpus is intricately detailed, depicting a traditional representation of Christ on the cross. This piece likely dates to the mid-20th century and would have served as a devotional object in a home or chapel.

Condition

This crucifix exhibits signs of age and wear consistent with its vintage nature. There are minor imperfections to the wood, including small splits and surface scratches, and some patina to the brass corpus. Despite these imperfections, the crucifix remains structurally sound and visually striking. Its aged appearance adds to its character and appeal, making it a desirable piece for collectors of religious art or those seeking a unique devotional item.
