WWII Military Jack Knife
This is a WWII-era military jack knife, dated 1940. The knife features a folding design with a hook blade and a two-prong fork. The handles are constructed from a dark, textured material, likely a composite material common for military equipment of the period. This style of knife was commonly issued to soldiers during World War II for various utility purposes.
Condition and Collectibility
This jack knife is seized up and does not currently open or close smoothly. It exhibits signs of age and wear consistent with its military history, including surface corrosion and wear to the handles. Despite its condition, this knife is a desirable piece for collectors of military memorabilia, particularly those interested in WWII-era equipment. The 1940 date marking adds to its historical significance and collectibility.
