Walker & Hall Silverplate Two-Handle Bowl
This antique bowl is crafted by Walker & Hall of Sheffield, a renowned silversmith. The bowl features a charming embossed design depicting a dog or cat, and is supported by two elegant handles. The base is clearly marked with the Walker & Hall hallmark, the model number 54168 A1, and the inscription “WARRANTED HARD & SILVER SOLDERED”. This piece exemplifies the quality craftsmanship of Sheffield silverplate during the early to mid 20th century.
Condition and Collectibility
The bowl presents with age-appropriate wear, including some surface scratches and minor imperfections consistent with use and handling. Despite this, the embossed design remains clearly visible, and the silverplate retains a pleasing patina.
