Tray of Watchmaker’s and Horological Tools
This lot comprises a tray of watchmaker’s and horological tools, offered as a mixed group of small lathe attachments, collets and hand tools. The assortment includes a small machine vice, a brass-bodied cylinder fitting, several files, a pair of dividers and a set of calipers. A white dish holds a quantity of collets, some of which appear to be stepped and split, alongside a number of small tap and die style pieces. Two pairs of magnifying loupes and a blue-handled tool also feature among the contents, which give a good cross-section of workshop equipment for the bench.
Condition and Collector Interest
The tools show the expected signs of use, with visible surface rust and wear to several of the steel pieces and some marking to the brass items. Lot contents have not been checked for completeness or function, and buyers should examine the group in person or request further information before bidding. Mixed lots of this kind often appeal to horologists, restorers and hobbyists building up a home workshop, and to collectors of period hand tools who value the variety of items in a single group.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that once a bid is placed we will not be able to issue any refunds unless there is a clear and obvious error made by ourselves in the item title, in the event of an incorrect bid being placed, you must contact us on the mobile phone number 07904 339160/description.
Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
