Vintage Wedgwood Beatrix Potter Plates and Bowls

This lot comprises five vintage ceramic pieces decorated with scenes from Beatrix Potter’s stories, offered as a collection of plates and bowls. Three of the pieces are plates, two of which have deep, rounded rims, and one is a small bowl with a decorated border. The printed verses around the rims quote text referring to Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny and Mr McGregor, and the central illustrations show rabbits, a young girl and small woodland creatures in naturalistic, muted colours. The pieces are attributed to Wedgwood through the collection description provided, and the Beatrix Potter designs are typical of the nursery ware the brand produced for children.

Condition and Collector Appeal

The photographs show general signs of age and use, including light surface marks and some wear to the glaze and rims, most noticeably on the deeper bowls. Chips, cracks, crazing and the condition of the underside cannot be fully judged from the images, so prospective buyers are encouraged to request further photographs or details before bidding. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.

#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
