Introduction
This striking knife appears to be a recreation or inspired by historical Welsh Druid knives, featuring a leaf-shaped blade and a distinctive handle terminating in a cross-like form. The blade is constructed of a polished metal, likely steel, and the handle is cast in a golden-toned metal, possibly brass or bronze. The knife is accompanied by a hand-stitched leather sheath, designed to protect the blade and allow for secure carry. The sheath features a simple loop for attachment to a belt or cord.
Condition
The knife and sheath exhibit signs of age and handling, suggesting it is not a recent manufacture. There are minor surface scratches and patina to both the blade and handle, consistent with use or display. The leather sheath shows wear and creasing, but remains structurally sound. This piece would be of interest to collectors of Celtic or historical weaponry, those interested in Druidic history, or individuals seeking a unique decorative item.
