Vintage Ceramic Pomanders
This lot comprises a collection of vintage ceramic pomanders, likely dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. Each pomander is beautifully hand-painted with delicate floral designs, showcasing a variety of colours and patterns. These hollow ceramic pieces were originally designed to hold potpourri or scented materials, releasing fragrance into the surrounding area. The intricate detailing and craftsmanship suggest they were once cherished decorative items in Victorian or Edwardian homes.
Condition & Collectibility
These pomanders exhibit signs of age and wear, consistent with their vintage status. Some pieces may have minor crazing to the glaze, small chips, or slight discolouration, adding to their character and authenticity. Collectors of antique ceramics, Victorian ephemera, or scent-related items will find these pomanders particularly appealing. They offer a charming glimpse into the past and can be displayed as decorative accents or used to hold fragrant potpourri, continuing their original purpose.
