Wooden Single Drawer Hall Cabinet
This wooden single drawer hall cabinet offers drawer storage above open shelving, making it a practical piece for a hallway, bedroom or living room. The cabinet is finished in a mahogany-effect tone and has a crossbanded top and drawer front. The drawer is fitted with a brass drop handle on a circular backplate, and the lower section has two open shelves, the lower of which has a gently curved front edge. A moulded edge to the top and a shaped base add to its traditional character.
Condition and Originality
The cabinet shows light surface scratches and marks to the top, consistent with general use over time. The brass handle appears to be original to the piece. Its traditional proportions, crossbanding and open shelving make it a useful option for buyers seeking a classic hall or occasional storage cabinet, and for collectors of mahogany-effect reproduction furniture.
