WW2 Siebe Gorman Gas Mask
This is a WW2-era civilian gas mask manufactured by Siebe Gorman, a prominent British manufacturer of protective equipment. The mask is complete with its original carrying bag, marked with the Siebe Gorman name. This particular model was privately purchased, likely by an officer or civilian seeking personal protection during the war years. The mask features a rubber facepiece and a hose for connection to a filter, designed to protect the wearer from poisonous gases.
Condition and Collectibility
This gas mask shows signs of age and use, consistent with its wartime origins. The rubber components may exhibit some cracking or deterioration, but the overall structure remains intact. The bag shows wear and tear, but is still functional. This mask is a desirable piece for collectors of WWII memorabilia, offering a tangible link to the challenges and anxieties of the era.
