WWII Propaganda Poster
This is a striking British WWII propaganda poster titled “We Must Kill the Squander Bug”. The poster features a cartoonish depiction of a menacing bug representing wasteful spending, encouraging citizens to save and support the war effort. The artwork is bold and impactful, typical of wartime posters designed to quickly convey a message and inspire action. It’s a powerful example of visual communication used during a critical period in history.
Condition and Collectibility
The poster shows signs of age and wear consistent with its vintage. There are creases and minor tears, but the colours remain vibrant and the imagery is still clear. This original poster is a desirable piece for collectors of WWII memorabilia, propaganda, or vintage posters. It offers a fascinating glimpse into the social and psychological strategies employed during wartime to rally public support.
