Vintage Zeiss Ikon Movilux 8 B 8mm Film Projector
This lot is a vintage Zeiss Ikon Movilux 8 B 8mm film projector, offered with its original packaging and accompanying literature. The Movilux 8 B is a compact cine projector for 8mm film, presented here in its box with the instruction leaflet.
The projector has a grey-green textured metal body with a dark carrying handle across the top and chrome-finished side fittings. A small round lens fitting sits on the right-hand side, and a further control is visible on the left. The yellow instruction leaflet, titled “Showing your film with the Movilux 8 B”, includes an illustrated diagram of the film threading path. The lid of the box carries the Zeiss Ikon name and the model name “MOVILUX 8B” on a green band.
Original Box and Literature with Good Retained Packaging
The projector sits within its original cardboard box, which retains its internal card padding and the Zeiss Ikon branded lid. The box shows general wear, including edge marks and some damage to the card. The instruction leaflet is included, and its cover shows some age-related marks. The operational state of the projector has not been tested, and no further information about its condition is given.
As a complete boxed set with the original leaflet, this lot may appeal to collectors of vintage cine equipment, German optical instruments, or Zeiss Ikon products. Boxed examples with matching literature are less commonly found, and the original packaging adds to the interest for enthusiasts of mid-twentieth-century home film equipment.
