Handmade Wooden Chess Set

This is a charming, handmade wooden chess set. The pieces are individually carved, exhibiting a folk art style with a warm, dark finish. The board is integrated into the storage box, providing a convenient and portable playing surface. The set appears to be crafted from a single type of wood, likely a hardwood, and shows the marks of hand tooling, adding to its unique character.

Condition and Collectibility

This chess set shows signs of age and use, with some minor wear and imperfections to the wood and finish. The pieces are all present, though some may exhibit slight variations in carving, consistent with handmade items. This set would appeal to collectors of folk art, vintage games, or those seeking a unique and characterful chess set for display or play.
