Continental 115/90 R16 Spare Car Tyre on Steel Wheel
This lot is a Continental 115/90 R16 spare car tyre mounted on a black steel wheel. The tyre is marked as a temporary spare, carries the Continental name and the CST 17 designation, and is stamped with a load index of 92 and the “M” marking. The steel wheel is a 16-inch design with a ventilated disc and a central hub with five wheel-bolt apertures. Yellow speed-limit stickers reading 50 MPH and 80 km/h are fixed to the wheel face, and the sidewall states that the tyre is for temporary use only and gives an inflation pressure of 420 kPa (60 PSI).
Condition and Collector Interest
The tyre and wheel show clear signs of previous use, including surface dirt, general wear to the tread and sidewall, and marks to the steel wheel. The lettering on the tyre is legible in places, and the speed and pressure markings are still visible. No further testing or assessment has been carried out, and the condition is offered as seen. The lot may appeal to owners of compatible vehicles seeking an original spare, or to buyers interested in period-appropriate Continental temporary spares and the 16-inch steel wheel format.
